Hello everyone !
Thank you for being here and reading my blog. It means a lot to me that you’re reading this !
If you don’t know who I am, make sure to give my first post a read to find out a bit more about me and now, without any further delay, let’s talk about our trip to Lanzarote.
First part of my journey started with travelling to London. Everything was packed and I was ready for our little adventure. It was my first time going to Spain/ the Canary Islands so I was super excited but also nervous as I didn’t know what to expect or if I would like it. When I got to Paddington I took a tube to Liverpool Street Station, from which we took a Stansted Express to Stansted airport.

As our flight wasn’t due until the next morning, we stayed at the Premier Inn near the airport for the night and took an airport shuttle bus next morning. Although our stay at the Premier Inn was very short, I enjoyed our little room. As always the room was tidy, we had a kettle and a set of tea bags to have a morning tea before leaving for our flight and the bed was quite comfy so as soon as we got our stuff ready for our flight we went to sleep.
Next morning we needed to wake up quite early which wasn’t easy (especially for me who doesn’t like to wake up early) but I managed to get out of bed eventually and we went to the airport. After we went through all security we had some time to spare in Duty Free Section (I always plan to buy things and then never do ).

Then came the time for our flight. We boarded a plane and we went up to the sky. I love this feeling ! Watching everything from the plane. I also like how the clouds look like cotton candy, don’t you agree ? A flight was about 4h long. In this time I took a lot of pictures, took a nap, listened to music, watched a kdrama episode (thank you Netflix for allowing to download videos).

After the few hours we finally arrived in Lanzarote !

The first thing I saw was a beach, next palm tress and cactuses.
We managed to find our hotel’s shuttle bus with ease which was very convenient. The journey took an hour or so. While on the bus, we were watching the architecture of the buildings. What I found amusing was that most of them were in the same shape and a lot of them had swimming pools (I wish one day I could have my own swimming pool ).

After an hour we finally arrived at our hotel “Flora” THB Hotel. It was around mid-day which gave us still a few hours to do things. After checking in we went to see our room. I must say I fell in love with how it looked. It was all white which made it perfect for taking pictures especially with a full size mirror (look on a picture)
The apartment had 2 rooms, a bathroom and a small balcony.
I really enjoyed the picture on a wall as it gave that extra something to the design.
After unpacking we went to have lunch at the the hotels restaurant. It was a buffet so you could choose what you wanted to eat (which for me was perfect as I am quite a picky eater). Each day throughout our visit, the menu changed a little, however there were things that were there every day like chips so I was pretty happy with that. I must say I was impressed that I tried soo many new things during our trip, (even Sushi, which I thought I would never eat ) and I actually liked them.

After lunch we took a small walk to see what is there in the hotel. There were 2 swimming pools with areas for sunbathing, a “game area” with game maschines, a pool table and air hockey, gym, a shop to buy swimming accessories and toys and a supermarket, there was also a pool bar, restaurant and the area near reception where you could use your laptop or hotels computer.
What I enjoyed about this hotel the most was definitely free ice cream with our all inclusive pass and the swimming pool (although I went swimming only once). To find out more about the hotel read my “hotel review” post (https://kaibeautyfashionli.wixsite.com/kai-kai-blog/post/hotel-review-thb-hotels-flora-lanzarote ) .
For the rest of the day we sat outside enjoying the weather; especially the temperature which was around 15*c (in comparison to 1*c in the UK). That would have been it for our day 1.

Next day after breakfast we decided to go to the beach. It was a great idea as I love beach and sea and walking barefoot on the sand. We also took some nice pictures and I recorded few videos. It was a lovely walk on the beach. In the evening we went for dinner and enjoyed drinks by the pool.

On our third day we have decided to have a lazy day by the pool. After breakfast we took pool towels from the reception, sun cream, sun glasses and swimming suits and we went to the pool. Perfect weather for wearing bikini.
With our all inclusive package we got free ice cream and drinks, which, in the weather like this, was ideal.

Of course I couldn’t miss an opportunity to have pictures taken in the pool and near the pool ;) Yes, I did match my eyeshadow colour to my bikini.
In the evening we went for dinner and spent an evening watching the sun set.

Next day it was my birthday ! ;) My birthday started really nice as when I woke up I received a cute Pandora charm with Eeyore from Winnie The Pooh.

My plan for my birthday was to go to the beach again ! I decided to wear my beach dress from Accessorize and my bikini underneath and have some pictures taken. We took a very long walk on the beach and we took a lot of pictures (which I was very happy about) :) I love being on the beach. It always puts me in a good mood.

After our afternoon on the beach we came back to the hotel. We decided to sunbathe a little bit on the balcony of our room enjoying some relaxing time and doing “nothing”.

In the evening we got dressed more properly and were meant to go for our dinner out. However, as I didn’t feel well enough, we decided to stay at the hotel’s restaurant instead. I still found it perfect because it’s not about where you eat or what you eat but with whom you are and I was with my favourite person so I didn’t complain at all.

After dinner we decided to go the game area and play pool. We had a lot of fun even though I lost ... as always.
Throughout the day I got a lot of lovely messages and phone calls (but I must say it didn’t feel like it was my birthday because it usually snows and I’m at home). I enjoyed this birthday trip very much and I’m looking forward to more trips like that.
After that day it was our time to leave beautiful and sunny Lanzarote and come back to the cold UK.
Overall, the trip was a success and I really enjoyed it. We didn’t do much of “touristy” stuff like activities or trips to the volcano (we might do that next time) but I enjoyed those few days away from our usual life and the fact that for few days I could forget about work and everyday issues. It was a great trip to heal my mental health and I came back relaxed, happy and motivated.
Thank you C. for sharing this trip with me ;*
And thank you to everyone who spent time to read this blog ;)
Till the next time.... ^^
xoxo Kai ^^
