Hotel Review: THB Hotels "Flora" - Lanzarote

THB Hotels „Flora” - Lanzarote Visit 29.01.19-03.02.19

I spent 5 days in Lanzarote (the Canary Islands) at the end of January 2019. During my visit I stayed at THB Hotels “Flora”.

The hotel is located not that far from a beautiful sandy beach. And the beach is amazing, especially if you love being on a beach like me and love walking barefoot on the sand. Although I must admit that it must be packed in season time and probably is not as enjoyable.

At the reception of the hotel you can find all informations about different attractions you can do (we didn’t do any due to lack of time). The hotel is very spacious and has quite a few things to offer including 2 swimming pools, game area, pool bar, a restaurant, a shop with water accessories and a small gym. There is also a supermarket where you can buy drinks and snacks.

In an all-inclusive package you also get free ice cream and unlimited drinks (only from a chosen few) which I found a great bonus especially in hot weather.

The hotel provides an evening of attractions which we never attended but we could definitely hear in the evenings which wasn’t that great. One of the things I definitely didn’t like were thin walls because of which you could hear music or sounds from other rooms. But other than that our visit was very nice.

The food was tasty and because it was served in a buffet style it was ideal for me (as a picky eater) as I chose what I wanted to eat and how I wanted to eat it. :) Desserts were I think my favourite. ^^ The staff in the hotel were very nice, helpful and always friendly.

Our room was also lovely and quite big. It was all white and it had a painting on a wall. I enjoyed the design of it very much.

Our apartment had 2 rooms (1 bedroom and 1 sitting room) and a bathroom.

In a sitting room you could find a fridge, few glasses and plates as well as cuttlery.

In the bathroom there was a set of toiletries including shampoo, soap, shower gel and a pack of tissues, hairdryer and set of bath towels (Pool towels were available at the reception for I believe 5€ deposit).

The beds were quite comfortable (but quite stiff so depending on what you like it might be ideal or not). One thing I must point out about the beds was that even though we had booked a double bed there were just two single beds joined together. In most hotels that seems to be the same case.

Overall, I am very satisfied with our visit. We had a great time at the hotel resting and enjoying sunbathing by the pool and eating different foods at the restaurant. It’s quite a nice resort, however, I must say that I am not sure if it would be as nice in season.

Toiletries Provided - Yes Service - Very good Food - Okay. Tasty, however, due to large amount it wasn’t as fresh and some food was kept from breakfast till lunch or lunch till dinner. Attractions: Game area, pool, evening attractions for both kids and adults, flyers at the reception about all the activities not connected to the hotel. Shuttle bus: Yes Room cleaning: Very good Location: Good. Not that far from a beach. Would I come back?: Yes :)
