“Picture one of a kind” - INSTAX MINI 9 Review

Today I decided to review my new Instax Mini 9 camera :) I have been using it for a few months now and I would like to share my thoughts and maybe encourage some of you to purchase one for yourself if you’re still unsure. I received my camera as a gift for Christmas from my boyfriend. It was one of the things I wanted for quite a while so I was super happy when I found it under the Christmas tree. The camera looks pretty, it’s portable and quite light, the quality of the pictures can’t be compared to our smartphones or different cameras but I am quite pleased with it.

What I quite like about the camera is that at the front (near the lense ) you can find a set of settings, the camera tells you which setting to choose to get the best outcome. For example indoor, outdoor and full light..

Each Instax film set includes 10 pictures. It’s up to you how you use them. What will you use yours for ? I use mine to capture memories with my family and my close ones and important events in my life. I may not use my camera as often as I use my phone but I love the fact I can capture some memories in a special and unique way.

The pictures are small so you can put them in your wallet and carry around with you or you can send them to someone in a letter, or you can decorate your wall with memories. The choice is yours....

When we take a picture on our phone we can redo it as many times as we want until we get the perfect one. I have noticed that when I take a picture on an Instax I don’t care that much if something unexpected happens for example my hair is getting on my face because at this moment I am not creating a perfect picture; I am capturing a moment/a memory. And that’s what’s the most important. What I found very interesting is that you can’t have two exact pictures. No matter if you try taking pictures one by one they will still be a bit different from one another (which is unfortunate if few people want a copy of the same picture ^^ ) Each picture is one of a kind and in my opinion that’s Instax’s biggest charm ;)

From now on it is definitely one of my travel essentials ;)
